Emissco announces British business success with Yara UK bottling and distribution Premium Partner Contract

Emissco has won a Premium Partner contract with Yara, the world’s largest manufacturer of AdBlue®, to bottle and distribute its product for the UK and Ireland. Carrying out the bottling in-house, Emissco will deliver AdBlue® to retailers, garage forecourts, motor factors and repair shops.

AdBlue® is a fluid that is injected into the exhaust gas stream, helping to turn harmful NOx emissions into nitrogen and oxygen. It is designed for diesel vehicles, from large commercial trucks to passenger cars. Yara is the world’s largest manufacturer of AdBlue®, with 17,000 employees and operations in over 60 countries turning over more than £10 billion.

Yara has selected the expertise of Emissco, a leading manufacturer of fluids and aerosols, due to its filling machine and logistics capabilities in the UK. The business offers the capacity to produce 16-20 million litres of fluids a year, ideal for meeting the supply needs of the consumer market.

Utilising its filling machines, Emissco will bottle Yara AdBlue® into millions of 10 litre branded containers during 2020. Emissco has developed its filling machines in-house, constructing them to clinical standards. Hoses and nozzles have been designed to operate reliably during the handling of the crystalline fluid.

Using its pre-existing supply chain, Emissco will deliver AdBlue to both distribution centres and point of purchase across the UK and Ireland. A dedicated fleet of delivery vans ensures reduced lead times and fast reactions for stock resupply enabling customers to also operate with more efficient inventory and working capital.

Mark Brickhill, CEO of Emissco, said: “We are delighted to be a premium bottling and distribution partner for Yara in the UK and Ireland. To be working with the world’s number one producer of AdBlue® really displays our capabilities in terms of filling machine capacity and logistical expertise. We have geared our business to provide contract services to leading fluid producers, as well as formulate and deliver our own products to the consumer market. It’s both great to be announcing a British business success story, particularly in these challenging times, and to find a further way to support our customers including those in the emergency services.

“It’s a fabulous and essential product,” Brickhill adds enthusiastically, “Enabling ultra clean emissions from the most modern diesel cars, improving air quality and producing 15-20% less CO2 greenhouse gas emissions than petrol engines. Virtually every new diesel car from September 2019 requires AdBlue to meet the new, stringent environmental regulations.”

Emissco is brand within the Klarius Group of Companies, which also includes Klarius Products Ltd. Klarius offers same day supply of exhaust pipes, mufflers, diesel particle filters and catalysts to more than 600 delivery points in the UK and mainland Europe.

“With storage for receiving multiple tanker loads and production lines for the filling of many millions of litres of packed AdBlue® into our Cheadle site near Stoke, we complement our emissions control portfolio. In Yara we have the most reputable partner”, Brickhill continues. “We’re proud to be bringing a great service to our customers with such a positive product for the environment, whilst also securing further manufacturing and logistics employment locally in our site’s 50th anniversary year.”
