Klarius named finalist for Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce 2024 Employer of the Year award

Klarius, the UK’s largest manufacturer of aftermarket emission systems, has been named one of three finalists in the Employer of the Year category at the 2024 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards, recognising the company’s commitment to employee development and impressive retention rates.

The Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce noted that the company’s average retention rate stands at eight years, double the UK national average. Furthermore, 20% of the workforce is made up of long-serving employees who have been with Klarius for over 20 years.

Another example of the strong emphasis Klarius places on the well-being and growth of its employees can be seen through its ongoing training and development programmes. These efforts help employees excel in their roles, enhance their skills, and build confidence.

Notable initiatives include promoting employees from the shop floor to management roles, and a robust apprenticeship programme. This has helped 4.5% of staff pursue apprenticeships at foundational level, with another 1.3% working toward degree-level apprenticeships.

Sarah Ratchford, Head of HR at Klarius, said: “Being recognised as a finalist for the Employer of the Year award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. Our focus on employee development and well-being is at the heart of everything we do.”

The winner of the award will be announced at a Gala Awards evening on Thursday, 4 July, at the Doubletree by Hilton, Festival Park.
