Subject: COVID 19
The continued safety of our customers, drivers and colleagues is always of utmost importance to us, but even more so today as we adapt to a period of COVID-19 uncertainty.
We want to take this opportunity to assure you that we’re very much open for business and recognise the exceptional response from our colleagues and customers. We continue to take steps to minimise any disruption, despite unprecedented short-term demand and unique trading circumstances.
These include:
- Board-level taskforce to ensure we stay abreast of COVID-19 developments, procedures and practices to keep everyone safe and the business operational
- Ongoing review of our delivery service.
- Moving some colleagues to remote working to protect the operational teams who are at the sharp end of our business
However, we are not immune to the same challenges facing all businesses and as a result are instigating the following changes, with immediate effect, to keep you and our drivers as safe as possible during this period.
- All deliveries will be ‘contact-free’ from Monday 23rd March
- Delivery drivers can deliver without requiring your signature on their device
- Drivers will no longer deliver across the threshold of a business address
Confirmation of a successful delivery will be by:
- The driver asking the end recipient receiving their delivery for verbal confirmation of the delivery. The driver will enter the recipient’s name and sign the POD as ‘unsigned’
- The driver leaving the goods in a secure location. The scenario to be used for this will be POD signed as ‘left safe’
We trust you understand and support the requirement for this temporary change in procedure and clearly we will continue to communicate and keep you updated if circumstances change.
We are certainly open for business as usual and will do our best to offer a delivery service with as little disruption as possible despite challenges we are all facing.
As the situation develops, we will continue to inform you of any changes to our operation.
As part of the Klarius Group of Companies we have AutoLOGISTIKS with a fleet of 20 vans that we use to service the majority of our customer base in the UK and if any of our Customers or Customers Suppliers are having difficulty transporting product around whether it be Motor Trade related or not we would be more than happy to see if we can help with any transport requirements.
In the meantime, stay safe and keep a look out for those who are vulnerable in your community.
