Reports to: Technical Manager

Hours: 40hrs (5 Days per week)

Permanent role

We are seeking to recruit a multi-skilled person, with R&D capability/expertise in fluids, but also to support various role within the liquids business. Building on your experience, full training will be given and there is scope for this person to progress in the company with our growth.

The intention of this position is to train closely with our Technical Manager, and in time step up to this position.

The role will include responsibilities such as:

  • R&D / Product development / Lab work
  • Working with sales to develop new products & ranges
  • Producing Technical Specifications & Reports / Documentation
  • Purchasing & Supplier liaison, working with our purchasing manager
  • Manufacturing dept support
  • Engineering / Maintenance support
  • Training & developing team members
  • Customer liaison & support, working with sales team


  • Developing new products inc benchmarking products in the market place
  • Analysing products & materials to determine specifications
  • Conducting quality control checks
  • Maintaining lab equipment & instruments
  • Preparing solutions & testing, including working with external labs
  • Creation & documentation of product specifications eg BOM
  • Creation of Technical Information: eg MSDS, TDS
  • Product Costs: Working with suppliers & Finance to document product costs
  • Supporting creation of marketing materials – eg product information / photos
  • Writing papers / reports and documenting company information
  • Support to customers & sales team liaison

Job Qualifications:

  • Education
    • College level 5/ HND/Higher qualification in relevant engineering or science discipline.
  • Experience
    • 2-3 Years’ experience in engineering and/or manufacturing environment.
    • Liquid / Fluid manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous
    • Experience of Aerosol production, products & working with solvents
