The Klarius Group is leading the way in providing environmental solutions to the automotive aftermarket. Klarius was at the forefront of the campaign to lobby HM Government to change the law and make type-approval on catalytic converters mandatory in the UK. This campaign, certainly in terms of catalytic converters, has been a success with the Government introducing the new law in August 2009 making type approved catalytic converters mandatory on all UK vehicles registered after 1st March 2001.

EU type-approval provides evidence for a customer that the catalytic converter or exhaust system he/she is buying has been subjected to, and passed, a series of rigorous checks. It is a mark of quality, which means the system is at least as good as the original equipment design. As a result, not only is the system more likely to last longer, but it can also help reduce emissions, increase fuel efficiency and reduce noise pollution. Klarius continues to lobby for the law to also be applied to exhaust systems in the UK, as it is in Europe.
