2010 Klarius Lambda Sensor CatalogueEurope’s largest and fastest growing manufacturer of aftermarket exhaust and catalytic converter products, Klarius, has launched its new range of Lambda sensors. Using the latest design and manufacturing processes they provide accurate emissions regulation for most production cars and are fully interchangeable with Original Equipment. The Klarius range is suitable for most production cars, with 568 products available. The sensors offer notable advantages over other leading replacement brands in design and fitment, in fact Klarius is confident that all of its sensors will match or beat the performance of a cars OE sensor. Klarius now supplies both heated and unheated Zirconia sensors. Heated Zirconia sensors reach operating temperature from as little as 15 seconds and have a service life of up to 100k miles, compared to the unheated sensors maximum operating life of 50k miles. These sensors use Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) to create a voltage through chemical reactions with the exhaust gasses. The voltage, which is affected by O2 levels, is then fed to the EMS. Klarius also offers Titania sensors, typically employing 5 wires, one of which is live with a constant 5v feed, and a multi coated printed circuit. These sensors have a faster communication with the EMS and are capable of reaching operating temperature in 10-15 seconds. Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is used, which changes its electrical resistance in response to O2 levels. These sensors are often found in Japanese marques and typically provide improved emissions due to their increased accuracy.
